How is it done?
When a client signs up for Secure Internet Services a dedicated
connection is placed between the client's infrastructure and iTeknique. iTeknique becomes the client's supplier of Internet connectivity.
All traffic to the Internet is then directed through iTeknique and is protected
by iTeknique's firewalls and monitoring systems.
Firewalls and Intrusion Detection
iTeknique’s systems sit behind redundant Cisco PIX firewalls. Cisco firewalls provide state of the art security against outside attacks. iTeknique maintains strict access controls for all incoming traffic from the Internet. iTeknique’s network is also monitored using Cisco’s Intrusion Detection systems. Our Intrusion Detection monitors real time any incoming and outgoing traffic for thousands of known vulnerabilities. When an attack or vulnerability is detected, from the inside or outside, the session is immediately blocked and iTeknique support personnel are immediately notified. iTeknique’s system has been built to rigorous security standards, thereby able to pass bank audits.
Fault Tolerance and Redundancy
All of iTeknique’s systems are housed in collocation facilities that are equipped with redundant power protection (generators and UPS), fire and earthquake protection, and redundant connections to the Internet. All systems are monitored for critical service availability and uptime and are available 24x7.
WAN Connectivity
With connectivity to iTeknique comes the ability to have all offices connected together utilizing iTeknique's infrastructure.
